Here is a recent live performance on KEXP Cumbia Siglo XXI is a vinyl pressing of a 2020 album that explores a futuristic vision of coastal cumbia in the ’80s. That style was a combination of funky basses and a further evolution of the rhythms, blending this style with disco and even rock; mixing traditional sounds with an urban modern context.
