The Swamp Brothers pull from the real Southern roots of folk and Appalachian music to create a hypnotically low-key mix of three-part harmonies, indelible melodies and delicate, intense acoustic playing. These bound-by-music brothers, Putnam Smith, Steven Bacon and Nate Spencer, got together in Putnam’s cabin in Maine and cooked up a vintage-modern sound that’s music to our ears.
Recorded in just a few days on an analog reel-to-reel, their new album, The Tennessee Sessions, has been catching on all over the country. They’ve scored a Top Ten spot on the national Folk DJ charts and sent a single, “Food On The Table,” all the way up to #3.
Horizon is proud to welcome this rising trio of new traditionalists to our humble abode on Feb. 4th at 7pm.
