middlehaze Live @ Duckfest 2024 on Saturday, May 4th!!

We’re proud to announce that Horizon’s own record buying extraordinaire, JB, and his band middlehaze, will be rocking out this Saturday, May 4th, at Duckfest 2024!

 

Presented by the White Duck Taco Shop and Hampton Station, May 4th is promised to provide with “The Duckiest Duckfest of All”! Running from 1PM to 8PM, you’ll be able to shop, snack, and listen to some of the best acts the Upstate has to offer!

 

 

 

middlehaze (formerly known as Excons) is a four-piece indie rock band from Greenville, SC, who’ve been playing and releasing material since 2014. Comprised of John Byce (drums, percussion, vocals), Brett Helsel (keys, vocals), Taylor Vandiver (bass, vocals), and Porter Whitmire (guitar, vocals), middlehaze brings an eclectic mix of everything from “dad rock” to power pop, with hints of jazzy and funky moods throughout.

 

Their first of two incredible Drop of Sun Studios EPs, high five, just released this week, so be sure to give it a listen HERE!

 

 

Back to Duckfest goodness, here’s a quick rundown of the schedule:

1-6: Shop the Vendor Market, packed with pottery, paintings, jewelry, and so much more, all created by fantastic local artists!

2-4: Herbert & Friends Petting Zoo is bringing the zoo to you! Fawn over the cutest baby goats, a mini pig, bunnies, chicks, guinea pigs, and (obviously) ducks, as well as catch a glimpse of an alpaca, a mini pony, and maybe even a unicorn…

3-8: Catch an exciting lineup featuring Taylor Corum (3-4), Silas Cain (4-5), Possum (5:30-6:30), and middlehaze (7-8)!

 

Admission is FREE and all of this will be going down at 1320 Hampton Ave. Extension, Greenville, SC, 29601…Hope to see you all there!
