Yes! We are indeed participating in RSD Black Friday. The list is out and we have our orders in to our suppliers, so now we brace for impact! For those of you new to RSD; there are two annual events (Record Store Day in spring and RSD Black Friday the day after Thanksgiving) when limited pressings become available at participating independent record store on a first come, first served basis. It’s always a big variety of artists from the uber popular to the practically unknown and record collectors turn out in hope to add a few special records to their collection. We expect a mad rush at 8am, as well as a beefy line for those trying to obtain particular titles, but we expect a decent selection of RSD titles throughout the day.
But that’s not all! We use the busy shopping day as an excuse to stock up on hot product and deep catalog. Popular, fringe and everything in between will be found in all sections of the store. It’s what you expect at Horizon but our buyer gets to bend the budget this week and source wide and deep for the occasion.
But what about pre-love records & CDs?!? You know we have a passion for buying collections, cleaning and curating and getting them back out into the hands of music enthusiasts. The vault team is already preparing to roll out fresh acquisitions throughout the day Friday keep things exciting all the way to closing time. So YES, it’s going to be a big day at Horizon and we hope that you will be a part of it!
