Greenville indie-rock quartet, former “Excons” and the musical crew of our very own JB, Middlehaze announce the release of a two EP CD with a free live performance in Horizon Records.
The band formally known as Excons is back. Call em Double X Cons or better yet, Middlehaze. I know, band name changes are always a good idea! And to sweeten the deal, the North Main daddios have reemerged with a double EP CD. Somehow, they were able to cram 10 songs / 43 minutes of sound onto one CD. I’ve heard that a shoehorn was involved.
The first EP is called High Five and it’s five songs recorded in Asheville, NC at Drop of Sun Studio with wiz kid Lawson Alderson. The second EP is called Down Low and was recorded in Greenville, SC by Will Wong and Britt Barker. The playlist and recording approaches create two distinct song cycles, hence the double EP concept.
This is their fourth release party at Horizon Records and they are looking forward to playing a 30 minute power set at 7pm on Friday May 15th. Please come and help celebrate the birth of a one, two combo from these local dudes.
