(Due to a family emergency, The Great Dying has been forced to cancel their in-store performance at Horizon Records on Thursday evening. Will & Craig are hoping to reschedule as soon as possible! This Thursday’s show will now feature singer/guitarist AARON J. BURKE, with special guest REUBEN KNIGHTS)
Don’t miss this performance on THURSDAY EVENING at 7 p.m. by AARON J. BURKE a musician who embraces unpredictability and shuns labels. Burke is a musical chameleon, moving from the dark, haunting indie-rock of his band, Glass, to the sweeping, massive folk-prog of his just out new digital-only album, Corvine: Columns & Verses. Kicking off with a slow-building, 20-minute epic called “The Angelus,” Burke’s solo album takes dreamlike acoustic textures into unexpected places, making lonely, plaintive music that draws the listener in like an undertow.
The album as a whole is a mix of ethereal acoustic folk and progressive-rock sprawl, is another bold stylistic leap for an artist who has worked with goth-tinged indie-rock, ambient soundscapes and everything in between.

Drop by on Thursday, Feb. 27th at 7 p.m. for a free performance from an artist who is redefining “Americana” on his own terms, with a brief opening set by Aaron’s collaborator REUBEN KNIGHTS
