Dear Friends:
We look forward to RECORD STORE DAY every year. We love seeing your smiling faces, unboxing the hundreds of groovy limited-edition and collectible LP’s, and just generally digging the celebration of indie record stores around the country. And we greatly respect RSD’s decision to break one big day into smaller “drop” events in the time of covid, when big crowds aren’t a great idea.
We hope, as you surely do, that we can still have these scaled-down days, and we hope to see all of you at Horizon on Saturday, Sept. 26th and/or Saturday, October 24th.
But if we’ve learned anything over the past few months, it’s that we have to proceed with caution to keep you, and ourselves, safe. We’ve already sat out the first RSD drop on August 29th, and if the numbers aren’t good in September or October, we’ll probably need to sit those out, too.
So bear with us as we navigate this uncertainty, and as soon as we know something, YOU’LL know something.
Stay safe, and we’ll see you soon, hopefully.
