New music, a massive tour and local performances have been announced by our friend, former Band of Horses guitarist, and Asheville’s own Tyler Ramsey! New Lost Ages is in stock now on vinyl LP & CD.
If you are local to the Upstate you’ll want to get your Albino Skunk Music Festival tickets here cuz Tyler will be performing at this year’s SpringSkunk May 9-11.
He will also be touring all over the continental United States; dates and tickets can be found here.
This fourth studio album, “New Lost Ages,” which continues his sonic quest — traversing genre-bending terrain, as indie and psych-rock as it is singer-songwriter.
Alongside bassist Morgan Henderson (Fleet Foxes) and drummer Sean Lane (Ann Wilson), Ramsey delivers an album that’s all about peeling back the layers of oneself and reaching the dusty memories stowed away at the back of the mind. Only by recounting the journey one has taken, can the present moment be put into full focus.
“This is an album of hope and this is an album of despair. It is an album of shadows and light. It is about the calm that follows the storm and it’s about the dark clouds when they roll back in again.”
Recorded at Seattle’s legendary Avast! Recording Co. and produced by the acclaimed Phil Ek (Fleet Foxes, Modest Mouse, The Shins), Ramsey’s latest ten-song Soundly Music release drops February 9th!
While you wait, give the first two singles “New Lost Ages” and “These Ghosts” a listen!
